Futures, the format, and the money
It comes down to one call: up or down
A futures contract is a bet on where a market goes next. You pick a direction, you enter, you exit when you decide to. Price moves your way and your account gains. It moves against you and it loses. That is the whole mechanic. There is nothing else to learn before your first match.
Position size is capped for everyone: 1 mini or 10 micros. Same ceiling for a first-timer and a veteran.
Whose money is it? Not yours.
Every match starts with a fresh $50,000 simulated account. Simulated means the account is practice money, so a bad day costs you nothing but points. The prizes are real: cash paid out on results. That is what prop-style trading is, and it is why a newcomer can compete without risking savings.

FAQs
Is it actually free?
Yes. Entry costs nothing. The only optional purchases in the whole tournament are the two resets: $25 to clear one match's points, $49 to reset your tournament total to zero. You can go from signup to the finale stage without spending a dollar.
Can I lose my own money?
No. You trade a simulated $50,000 account every match. Losses cost you points, never cash. Prizes are real money; the trading account is not.
I have never traded. Can I enter?
Yes. There is no experience requirement, and the position-size cap is the same for everyone. You will be up against experienced traders, but the format resets your account every match, so one bad day never ends your run.
What happens if I blow up the account?
You finish the match with a negative score and play the next one with a brand new $50,000 account. There is no drawdown limit and no disqualification.
What if I get cut at Match 4?
Your Open is over, but the tournament may not be. If you are cut in Open 1, you can register for Open 2 immediately and start fresh.
Can I play both Opens?
Yes. Open 2 is a fresh field and Open 1 traders can re-enter. One note: a trader who already earned a finale seat in Open 1 can win Open 2 cash but not a second seat. The seat passes down the standings.
Can I compete from my country?
Almost certainly. Entry and prize money are global, with a standard identity check at signup. Only the top-4 finale positions require attending in person in Fort Lauderdale.
What exactly do I trade, and where?
Four futures markets: ES, NQ, GC and CL, capped at 1 mini or 10 micros per position. All matches run on Tradovate.
When does it all happen?
Registration opens Monday, September 7. Open 1 runs September 21 to October 19. Open 2 runs October 26 to November 23. The live finale is Friday, December 11 in Fort Lauderdale.
